2022 XXL Freshman Class Revealed

XXL Freshman, which began in 2007, has new faces. This year marks the 15th anniversary of an annual hip-hop showcase.

To get the list of freshmen each year, the XXL staff has daily meetings from January through April that include discussions on the artist’s impact, listening to new music, and keeping notes of the artist’s plans for the year.

The 2022 Freshman Class is, Nardo Wick, Doechii, SoFaygo, Babyface Ray, Kali, KayCyy, Cochise, Big 30, KenTheMan, Big Scarr, Saucy Santana, and Baby Tron, who is the 10th spot winner voted on by fans.
