Yesterday, Big Sean announced that his highly anticipated new album Detroit 2 finally has a release date which is September 4.

Well he’s shared the first single from the album, Deep Reverence, and it features the late Nipsey Hussle.

In the track’s lyrics, Sean reflects on reaching out to Kendrick Lamar about a rumored feud, talks about the loss of a baby with Jhene Aiko, and tumultuous thought with suicide.

Detroit 2 was announced without a release date back in March, but over the past year or so has dropped a few solo tracks such as “Overtime,” “Single Again,” and “Bezerk.”

Sean’s last solo studio album, I Decided., which was released in 2017 and that same year, he dropped the Metro Boomin collaboration Double or Nothing.
