Cardi B has donated a fire truck to Cantañuelas after 20 years of the region not having an emergency vehicle.
Mayor Alvarez said he’s glad for the support during this time when Montecristi needs a fire engine. He noted that many people have lost their homes due to fire, which has also killed numerous Catañueleros.
The truck was donated by Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar’s (Cardi’s real name) father, Carlos Almanzar, after senator Ramón Antonio Pimentel (Moreno Arias) requested it multiple times.
Cardi B’s family still lives in Castauela, a community in the northwest Dominican Republic, despite her being born in the U.S.
