In a new song, “Letter To Takeoff,” Gucci Mane pays tribute to the fallen Migos member.
The song was written after the musician was shot dead earlier this month at 28 following an altercation at a Houston bowling alley.
In the song produced by Zaytoven, Gucci asks why Takeoff was taken, and echos Offset’s statement made at Takeoff’s funeral, “We don’t suppose to question God, but, damn, Takeoff was perfect.”
The lyrics also refer to Shawty Lo’s fatal car accident and the shooting deaths of XXXTentacion, Young Dolph, and PnB Rock.
