Kenya Barris To Direct Richard Pryor Biopic

Congratulations to Kenya Barris on landing his first directorial gig.

It’s been announced that the Black-ish, Grown-ish, BlackAF, and Mixed-ish creator will be the director of a biopic about legendary comedian Richard Pryor for MGM.

Barris will serve as writer, producer, and director for the film that will focus on Pryor’s life.

After a bidding war, MGM obtained the worldwide rights to the movie.
