As Prime Minister Mia Mottley announces that Barbados will “fully leave their colonial past behind” in 2021. The Queen of England is being removed as their head of state and will be replaced with a new one.

Rihanna fans are calling on her to be named as the new head of state and judging by Prime Minister Mia’s comments, Rihanna may be on the shortlist.

“This is the ultimate statement of confidence in who we are and what we are capable of achieving,” said Mottley.
