Despite what you may have heard, Tory Lanez hasn’t been deported back to his hometown of Toronto, Canada.

Earlier, rumors swirled that Lanez was deported following his involvement in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion.

Late Tuesday, a video of Tory in what looked like McDonald’s popped up on social media.

According to a member of his team, Tory hasn’t been deported but is currently self-quarantining with family in Florida. The rep went on to say that the deportation rumor is the perfect example of false information being spread regarding the case, his whereabouts, and his character.

Tory Lanez will be fine. He will still book shows, release albums, and host his little IG live show. Hip hop culture and the larger music industry loves protecting Black men who’ve harmed Black women. It’s a defiant reminder of the little regard they have for Black women’s pain.
