“On Chill”

Sampling has always been a part of the hip-hop culture and is an art form WE truly appreciate.

Wale with help from Jeremih successfully got their latest collaboration ‘On Chill’ number #1 on the Rhythm and Urban radio charts.

The song might sound familiar since it samples the keyboards from Raphael Saadiq’s 1995 song “Ask of You”, which was said to give it an “old-school R&B feel.”

“Ask of You’ was released as a single from the Higher Learning soundtrack back in 1995.
