WE find the sample for UK artist Mahalia’s “What You Did.”

At first listen, many might think she sampled the track from Cam’ron’s 2002 hit “Oh Boy,” which is true.

However, the original song was created back in 1976 when Rose Royce released “I’m Going Down” on the album ‘Car Wash.’

The power ballot “I’m Going Down” has also been covered by other strong females like Mary J. Blige back in 1994 and Keke Wyatt just recently in 2017.
